Installation instructions
Gather the necessary materials: bunk carpet, adhesive such as marine sealant, scissors or utility knife, staple gun if desired, measuring tape, and a marker or pencil.
Prepare and cut
Remove any existing carpet or padding from the bunks. Make sure the bunks are clean, dry, and free of debris. Sand rough areas or repair damaged sections if needed. Measure the length and width of each bunk, allowing extra length to wrap around the edges. Mark the measurements on the backside of the carpet and cut along the marked lines.
Apply and secure
Apply a generous amount of adhesive to the bunk surface, spreading it evenly over the entire area where the carpet will be placed. Carefully lay the cut carpet onto the adhesive from one end, smoothing it out to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles. Press firmly for proper adhesion. If desired, use a staple gun to secure the edges at regular intervals.
Dry and maintain
Allow the adhesive enough time to dry. This may take several hours or days depending on the adhesive and weather conditions. Once completely dry, the bunk carpet installation is complete. Keep the carpet clean and periodically inspect it for signs of wear or damage.
