Description
Rope Cutter Tip Replacements keep your hot knife useful after the original tip wears down. The heated tip cuts synthetic line and seals the end at the same time, giving rope work a cleaner finish with less fraying.
Keep the two pack with your cutter so a worn tip does not stop the job. Use with the Better Boat rope cutting gun or another compatible soldering iron style cutter for synthetic rope, straps, webbing, fishing line, fabric, and similar materials.

These instructions apply to the Better Boat Rope Cutter. For rope cutters made by another company, please check the tool specific instructions.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. With a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws located on the side of the rope cutting gun.
2. Insert the included 1.5 inch blade tip into the opening and tighten the screws.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Always ensure that the screws holding the blade tip are snug for the rope cutting gun to function properly. Tighten the screws with a #2 Phillips screwdriver when necessary, taking care to not over tighten and to avoid stripping the screws.
2. Clean the item to be cut if needed. The item should be free of oil and grease. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, burns, or toxic vapors, do not use solvents other than alcohol for oil and grease removal.
3. Plug the rope cutting gun into an electrical outlet.
4. Grip the gun handle and apply the rope cutting gun blade tip to the rope or material to be cut.
5. Pull the trigger handle to apply heat. It takes approximately 5 seconds for the blade tip to heat.
6. Release the trigger handle and set the rope cutting gun in a safe place to cool.
IMPORTANT: Never use continuously for more than 1 minute without allowing the tool to cool for 4 minutes. Never tie down the trigger expecting it to remain at peak temperature, as this will damage the tip and blades. This tool is designed to be used for quick, clean cuts.
HOW TO CHANGE THE BLADES:
1. Remove the tip after loosening both screws holding the tip.
2. Insert the new tip and tighten the screws. To avoid stripping the screws, do not over tighten.
