Automatic Bilge Pump Auto

Wiring instructions: Confirm that the power source is 12-volt DC. Anything higher can harm the pump. Connect the wires to the pump using the provided wire or additional wire if needed, following the diagram. Keep wires secured to prevent accidental pulling. Join the fuse holder to the positive lead between the battery and switch using butt connectors suitable for 18-gauge wire. Place the fuse holder in an accessible location for fuse replacement. Use fuses with the correct amperage as specified on the specification chart.

Mounting instructions: Check the hull thickness. It should be at least 1/2 inch thick. If not, install a 1/2 inch marine plywood block slightly larger than the pump base in the lowest part of the bilge, glued to the hull with waterproof adhesive. Place the pump on the plywood in the lowest part of the bilge with the outlet nozzle facing the transom and level.

Bilge Pump Switch 3 Way

Connect the manual wire of your bilge pump to the MAN marking on the switch panel. If using a Better Boat Bilge Pump, the brown wire is the MAN wire. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the battery to the positive terminal on the switch. Connect the negative (-) wire from the pump to the negative terminal on the switch. If using a Better Boat Bilge Pump, the black wire is the negative wire. Connect the negative (-) terminal of the battery to the negative terminal of the switch.

Use the inner opening as a mounting cut template. Template dimensions are 2.1 inches x 2.2 inches. Total unit dimensions are 2.95 inches x 2.48 inches. Read all instructions carefully before installing and using this product. Keep wire connections above bilge water level and consult a licensed electrician if unsure of installation, wiring, or use.

Bilge Pump Hose Kit

Choose a suitable location above the waterline of your boat for the thru-hull fitting and mark it on the hull. Ensure the hose will reach from the selected location to the installed bilge pump with a little extra room. Drill the appropriate hole through the hull at the marked location. Use a 1 1/4 inch hole for the 1 1/8 inch kit and a 1 1/8 inch hole for the 3/4 inch kit.

Apply marine-grade sealant to the threads of the thru-hull fitting. Insert the thru-hull fitting from the outside of the hull with the threaded portion on the inside. Slide one adjustable hose clamp onto one end of the hose, attach the hose to the threaded portion, then position and tighten the clamp for a watertight fit. Do not overtighten or puncture the hose.

Run the hose back toward the bilge pump. Slide the additional hose clamp onto the pump end of the hose, secure the hose to the pump exit hole, position the clamp over the hose and exit hole, and tighten for a watertight fit. Once both ends are secure, run the pump with water in the bilge for 20 minutes to confirm a watertight seal. If in doubt, consult a certified plumber or boat mechanic.

Bilge Cleaner Concentrate

TO USE: Simply pour in and run boat for at least one hour. The natural motion of the boat works to scrub the bilge. Then drain or pump out into a container that is in accordance with the law. Repeat process until no sludge remains. To maintain, repeat process once per month and keep a small amount of solution in bilge at all times to emulsify contaminants and prevent build-up.
