Align holes on plate with U-bracket ends ensuring the bent end of the plate is facing up against the hitch mount and not the hitch receiver. 3. Thread the washers then nuts then locking washers and the second nut over the threaded ends of the U-bracket. 4. Hand-tighten nuts initially, adjust if needed to line it up properly, then securely tighten with a wrench. 5. Finally confirm the hitch does not move or wobble.
