Hand application
Start with a surface free of dirt and grime. If your aluminum is oxidized or dirty, start with Better Boat Aluminum Cleaner prior to polishing. Shake the bottle well before use and ensure you have clean cloths. Apply polish in a modest quantity, working it into the surface with a clean cloth using overlapping circular motions in small sections. Continue to apply and buff as needed, switching cloths often to achieve a clean shine. Remove excess product after buffing.
Machine buffing
For machine buffing, use a wool compounding pad at a moderate speed between 1400 and 2000 RPM, focusing on one section at a time. Apply polish sparingly and evenly, maintaining moderate pressure for a consistent sheen. Change buffing pads regularly to avoid hazing.
