Marine Boat Rubbing Compound

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Read all warnings in their entirety, prior to beginning. Next you will begin preparing your surface, ensuring it is clean and free of dirt. Before starting, shake the compound bottle well and ensure you have a number of clean cloths. Apply the polish in a modest quantity, working it into the surface with a clean cloth through overlapping circular motions in small sections. Continue to apply and buff rigorously as needed, switching out the cloth often to achieve a pristine shine. Ensure excess product is removed post-buffing. For machine buffing, employ a wool or foam compounding pad at a moderate speed between 1400-2000 RPM, focusing on one section at a time approximately 2' x 2'. To minimize compound slinging, apply the compound in an X pattern using a chip brush on the targeted area. Start the compounder with light pressure and gradually reduce the pressure further as the material dries, polishing the surface. Persistently work through each section until all sanding and swirl marks are eliminated ensuring you are swapping out your buffing pads regularly to maintain a consistent finish and prevent hazing. Avoid application in direct sunlight and promptly remove any spatter with a damp cloth. For a high shine and to achieve a high gloss, follow up with our Better Boat Polishing Compound.

For a finishing touch, to protect and seal the boat, use our Better Boat Marine Polish.

Boat Marine Polish

DIRECTIONS: Prior to using this product, thoroughly wash the surface using a boat wash. Shake the bottle well. Apply the polish in a firm, overlapping strokes using a clean cloth or buffing pad. Work on small sections at a time to ensure even coverage. While the polish is still wet, rub well to remove any surface rust or oxidation. Most surfaces won't require hard rubbing, but heavily soiled areas may need more attention. This product dries quickly and will form a haze. Buff off haze using a dry, clean cloth or buffing pad. For optimal results, apply a second coat between 10 - 30 days after the initial application. The second coat will remove any residual chalk and oxidation that surfaced after the first application. With two coats, you'll get a strong protective shield against chalk, surface rust, corrosion, oxidation, UV rays and more.
